Ken Continues The Heavy Hitters!! - Bioshock Infinite

Yet another tease of yet another heavy hitter! This time part 4 has Ken talking about Sirens.

I thought this new Bioshock was going to be tough after seeing parts 1-3 of the new class of enemy but this is getting ridiculous!  This Bioshock is already worthy of the title Infinite, Infinitely Hard!

How many new bad guys does Ken Levine need!!! Let alone a foe that can resurrect other enemies you've just killed.

I'll paint a picture for you; You're under heavy fire, there is a Handyman and/or mulitple Motorized Patriots plus a hored of angry Columbians (ex splicers) trying to take you out. You are down to your last few rounds of ammunition and have exhausted that final tonic but you beaten them! Pure elation surges through your body and you sigh with relief but then... The Siren appears! FUCK!!!

All of those bastards rise to her necromancing lullaby and you have to start from scratch! The Siren will add another layer of difficulty and complexity. It could turn any ordinary situation into a cluster fuck.

According to Irrational Games the Siren is the last of the heavy hitters but seeing how inventive Ken and this team have been I'm still expecting a few big surprises.

No Comments.....

I thought I'd write another self serving post;

Interests of one, as a blog, is in it's infancy and I may have generated a minute amount of content for people of the world wide web to peruse but I have had no comments, no form of feedback, nothing, nadda, diddly squat. Not even the trolls are bothered! I thought I might of had something by now +300 views and not even one comment.

My friend at work has frequently teased the fact that he could be the very first to comment. That would be   a sort of pity comment. Not really what I'm aiming for.

You might ask why do I need comments? Why I am even writing a blog post about it?! They aren't important are they? Just other peoples opinions, it won't effect what I choose to blog about, will it?

However I believe comments are required, they are important. Comments allow a dialog between the reader and the writer and even readers with other readers. Comments can give the writer valuable feedback on content they have posted about. It tells me if a post is popular or not. It could even influence what I may chose to blog about in the future. I just need to know people are out there and they like or dislike what I stick up on the blog.

If you have an opinion on a post, leave a comment below!

Heavy Hitting Continued.....

Irrational Games continues to tease us with Bioshock Infinite details....

In my previous post on the heavy hitters of Bioshock I covered the Songbird and Motorized Patriots and mentioned the Handymen. But now Irrational Games have released some more details on their Heavy Hitter preview series, Part 2 and 3 are now available (see above). The Handymen look like a force to reckoned with but my real concern is with these Boys of Silence. They look like the devil had a wild night with a couple of trumpets and spawned a musical nightmare. The name also provokes all sorts of worried feelings about what they could be capable of. Boys of Silence....very eerie.

Print Your Own Home

3D printing is all the rage right now, you can pretty much print what you like....Now even a house!

Printing in 3D seems to be the future and it's looking like it's going to have a pretty big impact on future building construction.

If this demonstration of printing in concrete is anything to go by. We will soon have architects finalising their floor plans on the PC and clicking print. Just like you would a word document.

This technology could very well be the answer to the housing crisis in the UK. It could produce high quality homes, being built at a fraction of the price and in half the time.

But it's real impact could be to the developing world and rebuilding war torn/ natural disaster hit countries.

The future is coming and printed in 3D!!

OpenELEC and Raspberry Pi

We all know that Raspberry Pi is miniature piece of hardware wonderfulness. Its technological potential is only limited by the users imagination.

OpenELEC has come up with a real gem. They have created an Open Embedded Linux Entertainment Center, OpenELEC, which for the first time has been ported to ARM based technology. It's a linux distribution built from scratch that provides a platform to turn your Raspberry Pi into a complete Xbox Media Centre (XBMC).

Download this piece of linux software onto a USB and then connect to your Raspberry Pi. Boot from the USB and you are served up XBMC in all it's home media centre glory.

This software is free so combined with the Berry tech you have a home media center for £30!!
